Is it possible to move a radiator to under a window in a bedroom? Im getting built in wardrobes fitted in my spare room and it would be better if radiator was under the window. The only thing that would be a problem is that i have laminate wooden flooring in the bedroom. Can the floor be taken up and put back down again or would it destroy the floor?

It would probably mess up the floor. Have you considered running the pipes round on the skirting and then boxing them in, so that on that wall all you would see would be a skirting about 2" deep ?

Modern laminate flooring is click fit.
It can be taken up and put back down easily.
I've done it a dozens of times.
Gently does it and you will be fine.

Modern laminate flooring is click fit.

Some is, some isn't. Even the high-end click-fit manufacturers will tell you it deteriorates slightly each time you re-do it, some say do it no more than 5 times. So avoid doing it too often, but as you say, the more gently you do it, the less likely you are to cause deterioration in the joints.

Best thing is to try it in the area you propose to cover with the wardrobe.

Hi all,

Going to try testing the area where the wardrobes will be going and see what happens.

Thanks for all the replies.
