want to buy two properties

My husband and I have been offerred up to 400k mortgage.

However, we have found a property for 99k in Leitrim and a 135k apartment in Dublin.

If we were to buy both what tax issues would arise? I know we would have a 200e a year tax on one of the houses.

Aside from tax issues, the €99k purchase price could be too low to get a mortgage as the lenders have a minimum value threshold that they will lend against.. If the apartment is to be rented, this may also fall beneath the minimum threshold value for an investment property. Check with your lender.
