Want decent doctor in Blackrock, Dublin

I have a doctor and his attitude is something else, he is so bloody cranky all the time, I think he is used to old people, as when I am in the waiting room and it is full of older people he seems to be cheery with them, and then when it is my turn he is a real moany arsed fecker, and thankfully I only go over to him about 5 times a year.
Anyway I am going to switch, can anyone recommend a decent doctor that is friendly and helpful in the Blackrock, Co Dublin area.
Thanks

witchymand - since no one has replied, here goes.
I have a GP just as you describe you'd like and not

a real moany arsed fecker

but we're not allowed to post names here.

Why don't you phone the Irish College of General Practitioners?
They should be able to give you a few names. You could request "the cheerful list"!

Re: Not exactly Blackrock but

Some relatives swear by:

Dr Stephen Mulvey, Main st, (above Mulvey's Pharmacy), Dundrum, D/14 (01) 2980458. Spoke to him once/twice myself over the phone for general advice and he was more than helpful.

Re: Not exactly Blackrock but

5 times a year? Have you reminded him you're a regular customer.

Ask some relatives or friends, never ask for a doctor recommedation on the internet.

Re: Not exactly Blackrock but

Brian Fagan in Ballinteer is superb - if you're prepared to travel that far.

For five times a year, he may even be prepared to visit you!
