want cancel NTL, penalty month?

hi, after a whole weekend of no bb or tv, and countless breakdowns, i've had enough of ntl.

can i just cancel the DD, ring them and part ways..........

i remember a couple of years back, when i left sky, i did this, and they demanded another month, which i eventually paid, they had debt collectors ringing me all the time.

any advice appriciated

What do the terms & conditions of your subscription agreement with them say about termination penalties etc.?

I've just parted company with Chorus and had to give one month's notice of termination of contract - maybe that's where the "extra month" comes in?

NTL definitely requires a month's notice. Given the infamy of their customer service, I would write and register the letter.
