Wall reinforcing methods

I'm trying to investigate methods for reinforcing a garden wall. The wall in question is next to 60 years old maybe, cracking, and in a very very awkward location. It is also bearing significant weight.
Due to these issues, I am trying to find something that can be brought in and used quickly and easily in difficult places. Fully replacing the wall will be a huge job and I want to see if there is something else that could be done before going down this road.

I have been wondering about mesh re-inforcements. Can anyone tell me anything about these, trade names, North east contractors well versed in their use etc.? Which if any ae suitable for heavy duty use?

Difficult to provide meaningful advice on the info provided.

Is the significant weight on the wall comimg down on the top or pressing on the side?

If the latter, then one possibility would be to construct sloping buttresses to counter the load.

Thanks BillK. Sorry, some more info...

The wall borders public land and is a garden wall. However the house and garden are built at a height to the public land. So I would think that the wall would be bearing both downward and side weight? Maybe?

I am loath to do the full, big, messy job now and ny ideas regarding reinforcement of walls would be great? Companys, contractors even?
