WHat's the likelihood of a property boom taking off in Wales anytime soon ?

Anyone familiar with that market?

Was living there for the past few years. they have had massive property price inflation, often topping the league for the UK ( bit like Northern Ireland is now). Affordability is a major issue, and the welsh economy is massivly dependant on transfers from London and public sector jobs. If the NHS ceased to exist, there would be major trouble there. There does not seem to be a large sense of optimism, resigned to being the poorer neighbour ( albeit with a very good quality of life).

I'm from Wales and would say that it has pretty much had its boom.

Prices rose significantly these last couple of years, almost lagging the major UK boom between 02-04.

what you have to remember is that the salaries in Wales are pretty low.

If your going to buy in Wales then I would suggest a holiday letting home as opposed to a tenanted buy to let.

Anglesey is a great location as there are more and more people coming here from the Liverpool/Manchester region in the summer period.
