I took my eldest son (12) and his friend also 12 to a local indoor laser arcade this morning. On payment and entry the man behind the counter gave my son and his friend a waiver of liability agreement to sign.
Surly a 12 year old boy can not be bound to an agreement like that?
I should have thought that as the parent and adult I would have been asked to sign on their behalf but I wasn't. They had a great time and no harm came to them, but I can't help wondering if something had happened to either of them would the agreement they signed be valid?
Thanks

!2 year old cannot validly sign away statutory or common law rights.

Extremely doubtful if an adult could either, expecially if the the form was produced after you had paid and entered the premises.
