Waiting 5 weeks for a business line to be re-activated

Numerous calls. Numerous 'excuses' from Eircom. Their service is in the dark ages.

What can I do to 'speed up' a connection?

I'm pretty close to ringing my local TD!!

Why was the line deactivated in the first place? You could try ComReg but I'd be surprised if they were able to help you based on my experience with them. Are you a member of any small business organisation that might be able to help/advise? If necessary do contact your local elected representatives - it's crazy that this can be necessary but it may help.
 
I have nothing good to say about Eircom. 5 weeks is not bad by their standards.
