wait for child benefit too long..

i usually receive my child benefit in my bank account..but aprils was not there when i checked..my fault i hadnt notified them of my change off address when i foned to enquire about it..they have all my new details but they are telling me it will be june or july before i get any..i also didnt get my ecs on monday 14th april..why is it taking so long to just to change my address???

Did your bank account number change or just your address?

just my address..a letter had being posted to my old address in jan/feb time and returned unopened back to child benefit section in letterkenny..

Something similar happened to me. My eldest turned 16 in Feb, the form they sent to be filled in by her school was sent to my old adress and there was a delay getting it back to them. From them getting the form to the call earlier this week wanting me to confirm my new adress was about six weeks. I'll get March and April payments in May now. Sounds like you might have just missed the cut off time for a May payment.
