Wages paid by FAS/SW

Hi,
Could be in the wrong section but i just want to know from employers perspective.

Can a person looking for experience start with a company and get paid by FAS or the SW so to gain experience (internship). What schemes are there and have ye used any where someone looked for a job and SW pays?

Depending on trade/industry you are in, I would assume some would do work Voluntary now to gain experience
