VRT situation re UK car imported2France then Ireland

Thinking of buying a second hand car in the UK. (If we can sell the one we have)
We are living in France and HOPE to return to Ireland (economy allowing ) for the end of August. ie 6 months time.

Soooo where would that leave us with regard to VRT on the imported imported car? (In Ireland)
