Voluntary Strike Off Dormant Co

I want to apply to the CRO for voluntary strike off of a dormant company.
I have filed accounts every year with the CRO. The filing date is end of May each year with accounts made up to 31st Jan. Do I have to submit nil accounts for the year ending Jan 2014 which are due to be filed end of May or can I proceed with strike off procedure and get letter from Revenue?

If your returns are up to date then get the letter from revenue and the ad in the paper and get it struck off before the ARD and then you won't have to file the Annual Return in May.
