Hi,

My wife is looking at a new car. She's thinking about a Volkswagon Jetta (06-07). I don't know much about them. Anyone have any experience with one?

I know someone who had one for 2 days when their car was in for work being done.

Seemed like a very solid car and well laid out...I was only in it for half an hour but was impressed and the boot was a lot bigger than I expected it to be
 
Jetta is close to the Passet in terms of price. Personally I'd pay the extra and get the Passet which is bigger and has more of a quality feel to it.

Or consider a higher specced bit lower priced Skoda Octavia, it is built on the same platform,running gear and has the same engines as the Jetta but always comes out more reliable in the various surveys

Trying to convince my wife to buy a Skoda would be harder then selling snow to an eskimo ;-)
