Voided CC Transaction (still) showing as Unposted

Hi,

I used my MBNA credit card on Saturday afternoon to purchase something, the retailer entered the wrong amount (394.00 versus 394.10), then voided the transaction (gave me a receipt to say voided) and entered a new transaction for the right amount that I entered my PIN for.

Since then there has been an unposted transaction for 394.00 showing when I check my account online. The second valid transaction is showing fine on the online statement.

Is it normal that the voided transaction appears as an unposted transaction, and if so when should it disappear? Should I contact the card provider and flag this? I have retained the 2 credit card receipts.
 
I can't answer your question but they went to a lot of trouble to get their .10c didn't they.
 
It should dissapear 7 days later.

The merchant did not follow the correct procedure anways. They should have asked you for the difference.
 
Don't know what they were up to for the sake of 10 cents. The transaction disappeared the next weekend.
