Does anybody know what the break even on Vodaphone is
if you bought Eircom at the start and got your Vodaphones after break up?
Excluding the Eircom loss, I worked it out at 1.87 GBP but is this right?

Do you mean overall or just taking the eircom cost attributable to the Vodafone takeover in isolation from any loss made on the Valentia takeover payment for the rest? Basically the split in allowable eircom costs attributable to Valentia and Vodafone was respectively. In the latter case this means that (ignoring bonus shares etc.) you nominally "paid" €3.90 x 57% = €2.23 for your Vodafone shares so the breakeven on this is c. GBP£1.56 at the moment. To also cover the loss on the Valentia takeover payment the breakeven figure would be €2.23 + €0.30 (i.e. €3.90 x 43% = €1.667 - Valentia takeover payment including special dividend of €1.365) = €2.53 or c. GBP£1.77.

At least that's my understanding! :|
