Vodafone Mobile Connect Card

I see vodafone are launching a new price for their mobile connect card - 49euros per month. I've used one before abroad and it's so handy for home office. At the moment the download speeds are not good (384kbs) but I read they plan to boost it up to 11mbs over the next year.

I am considering dumping NTL, and moving to this. The only probem is I use Blueface at home, and according to the vodafone T&Cs VOIP is not allowed, surprise, surprise.

Any thoughts or any experiences with the service ?

I wouldn't really call 364kbs slow considering standard DSL was only 512kbs 2 years ago!

I think it's a great development for the record. Incredible drop in price and brings us into line with the cost of EVDO cards in the US.

I'm wondering how would that work... is there any way to plug in your connect card to a router, so that you can have your wifi and voip most of the time, and then pull it out and go, whenever you need to work outside the house ?

there are some router gizmos available but not directly from vodafone or their shoppes maybe, see the linksys comments when you read this here
