Hi.
I purchased a Vodafone 3G modem in Carphonewarehouse in September, used it for four days and it didn't work very well in my area. 'Returned it after 6 days (within the 14day period as per terms & conditions). Carphonewarehouse didn't send Vodafone cancellation datails so Vodafone send me two bills. Eventually after mush frustration got it sorted out in November.
Today I receive a bill for €112 for the same account. Spoke with Vodafone who maintain I've been making calls with the modem for the past few months (was returned to shop in Oct). I reckon the shop sold the sim pack but details are still attached to me.
What are my options? after the last episode I dont have the energy to deal with them...Can I cancel the direct debit and let them sort it between themselves. Any ideas appreciated.

You could try ringing www.comreg.ie although I found that they were not interested in a handset query/problem, service/line provided by Vodafone only seemed to be their cup of tea.

http://www.nca.ie/eng/ might help but they promised to get back to me in about a year's time when I lodged a complaint about Vodafone.

In my experience Comreg are a total waste of time for any sort of consumer complaint and the NCA would be a much better bet.

Update: After several phone calls and letters to Vodafone I received no response from them. I then received a letter from a debt collection company offering to send "People" to my house and take some of my stuff!!! After another couple of calls to Vodafone I found somebody who actually went out of their way to help, they investigated and then credited my account and called off the collection agency.
Thanks for your inputs.

I hope you got an apology from them as well.

I don't agree that they are a waste of time....On two occasions I have had a frustrating time with BT. On both occasions when I involved Comreg, action and activity on resolving my issue was definitely fast tracked and resolved.

Glad to hear that. My experience with them and that of others that I have heard from is totally negative though.
