I've some visitors coming soon and they are looking to go to a trad. session in the Dublin region.
From what I can gather, most places seem to think that Mary Black and old rebel ballads are the sum of trad. music; they have their place but I don't think that's what my visitors would like.
I'm not a big pub-goer either so don't know the best places - can anyone help?
Is it Hughes/McHughs behind the 4 courts is supposed to have one of the best sessions, I've never been though a mate of a mate goes there as it's where the best players go to play what they like rather than what the tourists want.
