Vilnius Lithuania

I have just arrived in Vilnius on a contract lasting 18 months. I have no contacts here and need some help in where to go for some social interaction. Not talking about seedy joints but where some irish or English may hang out for a few beers.

Has anyone any experience or contacts in this city? Any assistance would be most welcome as it quickly gets boring sitting in the corner of a bar with all about you speaking Lithuanian.

Don't mean to be smart but find an irish pub and speak with the Irish staff/customers. This saturday with the International football match on would be a good chance to meet a few Paddies.

Hi Bren - you still in Vilnius? Myself and a few friends are heading over there soon for a few nights. Any ideas of good spots to eat/go out/see over there?
