does anyone havea knowledge of cyprus?

I'm looking at buying a holiday home there and I am attracted by the amount of sunny days there particulalrly in winter. I'll visit later this spring

one aspect that is hard to get a handle on, is prices - are they going up or down or the moment?

i've looked through the threads on cyprus here but there is not much written about it
