Vienna

Visiting Vienna next month any advice or recommendations regarding hotels, bars, restaurants/ cafes and attractions. And is Vienna cheap or expensive compared to Dublin?

Vienna is a lovely city but not the wildest.

Beer is slightly cheaper than Dublin - 500ml drink is about €3.50, but that'll vary. The food is very good value - you'll get a main meal for 2 plus a bottle of wine for about €30.

I'd reccommend The Goulash Muesum restaurant near the Cahedral - very good food.

We stayed in the Hilton beside the train station. Its beside the train station that has a direct link from the airport (there are 3 hilton in vienna, not sure of the name of this one), but its only about a 5/10 minute walk from the city centre.

You can also do day boat trips along the Danube to Budapest
