Videos - Copy To Dvd

Does anybody know of a service provider copying old videos onto DVD (in order that we can cut down on the space being taken up by our Videos)? We could buy a DVD writer I suppose, but it's not long since we invested in a DVD player so we don't particularly want to do this if someone else out there can do it for us? If such a service exists, any idea of cost?

I'd imagine it would be far cheaper to buy the writer and DIY than get a company to do this for you. Only drawback would be the time involved if your collection is considerable.
