Hi,

Would anyone know if the VPS/PDC feature (where recording of a programme starts and finishes exactly on time) works with Videoplus in Ireland? A guy in the shop where I bought the DVD recorder said that this featuren only works in the UK, not Ireland. Does anyone know for sure?

Hmmm - I thought that some or all Irish broadcasters supported PDC but I can't find any technical info on it. I could do an experiement for you if you don't find the info elsewhere or from somebody else here?
 
I bought a Mitsubishi VCR about 5 years ago with Videoplus & PDC.

PDC gave me nothing but heartache and I soon gave up on it. As far as RTE are concerned, the scheduled start & end tmes are only a rough approximation of when the programme might air .. or not.
 
I use a Hard Disk recorder-and although I dont use Videoplus a lot when I do it works and I always turn PDC on-there was an incident a couple of weeks back when a program was 20 mins late starting but as far as I remember I got the whole thing
