Hi
I've used VHI travel insurance for the past two years. No claims in the first year, but last year, fell on pool steps on first day of holiday in Florida and ended up in the local hospital for x-rays, ultra sound, painkilling injections and valium!
On going to the hospital my husband and I brought our credit cards, as I was sure that we would have to pay up front and claim later. However, when I was asked if I had insurance I showed them the VHI insurance document and I wasn't charged a cent. The claim went directly to the company who covered VHI claims.
So my experience with them has been good. However, I don't know what they would be like for anything more serious - and hopefully I won't have to find out.
