VGA & S cable

Hi folks,

Im looking to link laptop to tv. However, laptop (Inspiron) only has a female vga port, while the tv only has an S cable (female also) port. There is also a HDMI port on tv.

Does a cable with a vga head and S bottom exist?

There are vga to s-video adaptor available, e.g. here:

However, there is not guarantee that it works - e.g. you have to take care that resolution is not more than 800x600 and 60Hz (or even less) depending on TV, and of course your TV should have a s-video input (I think you can get s-video to scart adaptors as well)

You can probably get that cable ad maplin as well.

are you sure there is no svideo out , most inspirons have one

Will check the specs for resolution. And no, checked again, no S-video socket on the laptop.
