Hi folks, I need to buy a small, second car that is economical to run. Will be doing about 400kms per week so I think a small diesel is the way to go. I'm going to look at two Fiestas, 2004 and 2005 respectively. I'm on a limited budget of around €10k. Anyone have any verdicts on this car?

No expert but looks good IMO, above average reliability and should be more comfortable than average for a small hatch. Fairly spacious too. Haven't heard much bad feedback either anecdotally or via the press.

The Clio is often regarded as a very good bet for a small diesel BTW.
