Can you share more details on why the VRT cost was more than expected?

The valuation of the car seems a bit excessive. Similar cars on DoneDeal are about €2 - €3k cheaper.

Clubman's link is the process to follow, clearly that process is the same for all vehicles so no one here needs to know the make model, etc.! When claiming they placed too high a value on it, submit copies of adds supporting your view.
