Have purchased a new car and when I went to get my bits and pieces for my own car couldnt find the above document yesterday.

Looking to find out how long it takes to replace it. I am aware of the form I need to take to the gardai station and the 12€ fee to hand into the motor tax office. Has anyone done this recently and how long before you got the certificate back. Have check here on AAM answers ranginf from 1 week to 3 weeks but back in 2007/08

Suppose to pick up my car next saturday now as I thought I'd find it today but am now sick of looking.

I got one for my husband recently. I dropped off the form and a €12 fee at the council on Tuesday and the cert arrived in the post on Friday.
 
just to report back - applied monday, rec friday and wednesday was St. Patricks Day so very quick all things considered.
