vat to pay on pub door takings

just bought a large pub outside galway and have music on saturday nights and i charge 6 euro admission what vat rate do i pay on these door takings is it 13.5 or 21.5 there is a dance floor also but it is known as a cabaret lounge i couldnt determine which rate to pay when i looked it up on revenue site

i'm confused you ask what rate do you pay on the 6 euro admission surely you meant what rate should you charge also id say you should have a chat with your accountant surely you have one because you own a large pub and handle lots of cash

my accountant says 13.5 but he is not sure i dont want revenue coming to me ina year saying it is 21.5

If I were you I'd ask your accountant to get the information if he's not sure. The revenue list is clear enough anyway: http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/vat/rates/index.html

There are different rates for different types of "music" events e.g. dancing (21%), concerts (exempt), cabaret (13.5%) etc.
