I started a business that has been developing a product for the past 2 years and has very little turnover at present (less than 5k pa). I registered the company for Vat as I could reclaim the Vat on all the R&D costs. Was it advantageous to register i.e. would I have been able to reclaim all the Vat paid on R&D, tredemarking, design registering costs etc without registering??
