VAT - Statements

HI,

We get Vodafone statements that contains 20 invoices. Is it okay to book the statement for the total or do we need to enter the 20 invoices individually in the books?

Vodafone bills/statements are very bad.

We book ours as one invoice, but we have to go through each number to extract out the VAt.

Once you separate out the correct amount of VAT, there is no problem.

I presume you are talking about a business account where there are 20 numbers coming under the one account.

If your statements are the same as we get, the front page lists all the numbers and the gross charge for the month, but does not break out the VAT.

As there can be elements of the individual invoices that have zero VAT - eg Insurance cover, you have to go through each invoice to extract the correct VAT and NET amounts.

I just think they could make it a lot more user friendly.
