We are a limited company and registered for VAT. It has come to our attention that some person or persons are using our company name and VAT number to purchase items in Northen Ireland paying for them but not paying any VAT, as you do not have to pay VAT at point of entry if you have a VAT number, but you have to pay the VAT when the items are sold. Those items would liable for 21% VAT. Do we report this to the Revenue or the Gardai. We do not want the Revenue coming after us for the VAT in the future. The items in question are not anything we would ever be selling. Any advise would be appreciated.
