VAT Question

Hi All,

I own a Ltd company (irish registered) and we supplied software consultancy/support services to a UK company. I am about to invoice them so do I need to charge VAT and if so at what rate???

Most likely you will not charge VAT, as they are a company. You need to contact them and get them to supply you with their UK VAT number, if they have one. Then check this number to make sure it is real...

If it is, you don't include any VAT on the invoice.

Maybe my imagination, but this type of query seems to come up every couple of weeks.

I thought it was every couple of hours...
