I purchased a new appartment last december. No management company was set up and I would not sign untill that was done. Finally at the end of June a management company was set up and I signed the contract.
Last week I got a call from the estate agent stating that they forgot about VAT which adds another 50000 to the price. I looked at the contract and it states that price is inclusive of VAT. My solicitor states that I don't have a leg to stand on as they have not returned a signed copy of the contract.
Has anyone seen this before or is there anything that I can do as I have now lost out on solicitor costs and also a rise in the cost of property if I decide to buy elsewhere?
