Vat on glasses.

I read in the newspaper that the way opticians charged VAT on glasses has changed and that they are due back something like 70 million and that they wont have to refund it to their customers but that some will. I would suggest that they donate it in some way towards fighting blindness.

Hmmm, spent €600 or so a no. of years back on some specs, wonder if its worth trying dig up the receipt and paying a visit to the optician?
