VAT on Finance Charge?

Hi All,

Are you supposed to charge VAT on a finance charge / credit extended? For e.g job costs 1000e inc VAT and will be paid off 100e a month over 11 months with a 100e finance charge - total cost 1100e. Should VAT also be calculated on the finance charge @ 23%?
