Hi,

I am French and I moved to Ireland to create my import export company. I import electronic products from china to sell them in europe and ireland.

I need to know if when products are imported from china to ireland there is any VAT when the product arrives in ireland.

It's very important to appreciate the limitations of Askaboutmoney (and any other online forum.)

If you are setting up a business with complicated tax issues, you really do need to pay an accountant to guide you through the process.

It's not just that they know more about the issues so that they can answer your questions correctly. They may well see some tax planning point which could save you a lot of tax.

There is no harm in asking for ideas on askaboutmoney or in getting second opinions. But, your main source of information should be your accountant.
