at the insulation stage of the build with a timber frame house,just wanted to know do we need to put up the vapour barrier on the internal walls as well as external?

I built a Kingspan Tek house and was adivsed to put a cover of polythene on the inside of external walls to ensure that any dampness that may travel will not get into the house.
