I took up a new job in January. This week a number of cutbacks were announced, including that there would be no pay rises this year.
But I negotiated a certain percentage pay rise with one of the senior managers that interviewed me last year, effective 1st April, and I have an email confirming this.
So the question is - does that email commitment have any value now...?
