Valuation costs

Hi Folks

Quick question on home valuation costs.
In the process of remortgaging and we have looked at a couple of different banking institutions. Some of the banks have there own valuation forms to be completed by the Auctioneer, so my question is, would it be common place to pay the full valuation cost for each form completed by the Auctioneer? i.e. say if you got two valuation forms completed in the same month by the same auctioneer, is it normal for to pay full price twice?!

Hope this makes sense!

Any feedback appreciated

Thanks

It would be usual that you would decide which lender you're going with before getting the valuation done so that you only have to get one valuation done. You can get approval in principle from any number of lenders first.

Normally no, if there is no need to re-visit the property then an auctioneer will usually just re-write the details on the form of the other lender.

But usually you are pretty certain which lending institution is to be used when you are at the stage of getting a formal valuation done.
