Validity of a contract

In this scenario:
A contract is drawn up between three parties. A is an owner of a property, but doesnt live there, B and C are the owners children. The contract specifically states that B will have exclusive rights to live in the property while A is alive. As C is not happy with this, he refuses to sign. A and B sign and its done
My questions are 1. As C doesnt sign, does that void the contract ?
2. In reality, C's agreement is not needed anyway, so A and B could make such an agreement anyway

How to make everything complicated.

Why even try and do this? Let A just grant B a right of residence. Leave C out of it entirely.

It is A's property to do with as A wishes.

If we have to go the road of is the Contract, as it stands, valid if C does not agree, then clearly looking for trouble.

Twoflutes are you B or C?

I wonder is A under pressure from B.

Is C feeling left out.

A is free to do whatever A wants with A's property. But in the interests of family cohesion it might be best to have a discussion and try to be fair to everybody. There are perfectly valid and good reasons to give more to one child. Child in need, child taking care of parent. Or even parent prefers child B.

A should go to a solicitor on their own and discuss with professional. Not a solicitor of B's choosing. B shouldn't even drive them there.

Alternatively let the war begin.
