If a person owns a property now vacant and which is of little value due to location etc would he be better off to try and sell it for a nominal amount rather than letting it thereby avoiding the hassle of ensuring the tenant pays ESB/Water?Insurance?
Property now vacant and question is whether it would be better, if feasible, to get rid of it for a nominal sum rather than trying to let it with the hassle mentioned
If the utilities are in the tenants name then you have no liability.
Maybe engage a letting agent to manage the let on your behalf instead of offloading an asset.
