Want to set up a security key for wireless network using BT voyager modem

found the below site

http://www.voyager.bt.com/selfhelp/s...curity_wep.htm

Seems easy enough to do just have to figure 13 character alpha-numeric password ?

Also point 11

If you are currently connected with a wireless computer, the connection will disconnect as you now need to enter the network key into settings for your wireless adapter. For assistance doing this clickhere

What does this mean ?

if youre connected already via an unsecured wireless connection and then configure security, youre gonna be disconnected as you dont have the proper credentials on your client.

On your encryption tab, set
Data encryption to WEP
key index = 1
key# = <13 digit key that corresponds with key number 1>

Not familiar with the voyager router but all wireless routers Ive seen let you put in your password to generate a security key. There are usually 4 keys generated. As above the index number must match that key as generated on the router. try that and let us know how you get on
