Using ROS - what's last day for filing online?

can't find the date online anywhere but I know you get some time after 31st October for filing online...anyone know what it is this year?

Using the Ros system you have until 15th November

note that the extension only applies if you file your return AND pay any balance due using the online system - you can't file a return online and send a cheque for the balance, if you do that the deadline is 31st October.

if you are due a refund (ie you file online but do not pay as you are due a refund) then I presume you can still avail of the extended deadline. always wondered about that one.......

I presume you can - they say you can't file online and then pay by cheque, but if it's a refund you're not sending a cheque so there's no issue.

any late penalty is based on a percentage of the tax payable, so if there's none payable there can't be a penalty (as 5% of nothing is nothing!)

the revenue don't tend to impose deadlines on them giving you money back!!!
