Using Outlook with Eircom.net

Does anyone know the specifics of using Outlook with Eircom...settings for incoming and outgoing server etc.?

Incoming and outgoing server are both the same:- mail1.eircom.net

I needed to input a server port number - POP3 110, SMTP 25

Got loads of info about set-up on the Eircom website

You need username and passowrd to connect to mail servers.

I'm assuming all this still applies even if it's dial up?

Would have thought so... don't know if I'm honest. The web page and a 5 minute call to Eircom BB support sorted me out.

Server hostname, ip address and usernames/hostnames will still apply no matter if dial up or broadband. It should be the public interfaces you will be connecting to and not within private netowrks.

I presume you mean OE, and not Outlook, the big brother.
