Hi yob, I think you really need to see a Financial Adviser. You don't say if you have any insurance cover or how much work you'd need to do for that €18k.

Yours is a complicated situation & you really need the best advice possible & nobody can give you that without going into your complete financial situation in detail. Please do yourself a favour & seek expert advice. It'll be well worth the cost....

thanks for responding i was starting to get worried with no replies!!!
i dont have income protection but i do have life cover for my dependants,i work very hard for that salary but i'm also putting 12k to my pension.
i agree about the professional advice and am dealing with an independant adviser at the moment but i'm not convinced hes up to the task,hence i'm here,who would you recommend?
