I'm waiting on delivery of a new 3G iPhone. I would like to use the GPS function without having to pay the network data charges. I know the iPhone uses 'Assisted GPS' but has anyone heard of any downloadable applications which allow the iPhone's GPS to function without a mobile network connection. This application would also need to contain maps i.e. not connected to google maps.
