usb flash drive read/write lifespan( video files)

putting this in computer section rather than regular tv section
seeing as it is a harddrive sort of , hope its ok

using a usb flash drive with a saorview set top box ,so we are constantly recording /deleting programs what I want to know is what kind of lifespan would the usb stick have
 
I know its many thousands is the lifespan and point to note is a lot come with lifetime warranty s
