I've been living in the US for several years and would like to open a brokerage account/mutual fund for my new nephew who lives in Ireland.
I'm not necessarily hooked on US funds but I am certainly more familiar with the funds in the US v Ireland/Europe so thought it would be easier to open an account with an online brokerage (e*trade etc) and start him off on the right foot.
From what I'm reading most don't allow EU citizens to invest - does anyone have a heads up on a firm that will allow Irish citizens to invest in US mutual funds like vanguard etc?
