hey all. im heading to barbados in 3 weeks and im wondering which currency is better to take? i also need to no if everywhere accepts both currencies. thanking you in advance.
We brought US dollars and exchanged them for Bajan dollars in the hotel commission free. US dollars are however accepted nearly everywhere on the island. The exchange rate over there is 1US$ to 2BD$ (Bajan dollar is the local term for their currency)
Its easier to deal in Bajan dollars over there though (taxi's, small restaurants and so on), and change will be given in Bajan dollars and not US dollars
